With a keen interest in politics and design, Bruce Barone, Jr. has focused his education and 12-year career around both.
A native of Greenwich, Connecticut, Bruce received a BA in history from Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) and a MA in Architecture from the University of Miami.
As a marketing and fundraising executive in Southwest Florida, Bruce has built a strong reputation for developing and deploying strategic marketing and public relations plans for a number of companies and non-profit organizations. Recognized as a leader in non-profit fundraising, project management and event planning, Bruce has achieved record breaking increases in fundraising and productivity.
As director of development and marketing for a major non-profit organization in Naples, Fl, he increased fundraising dollars by 120% in his first year in the position.
Bruce’s extensive experience in event management, including managing and promoting more than 40 major events in SWFL has made him a go-to-guy for attention to detail, creative ideas and social media marketing.
While his exposure to classical architecture, interior design, new urbanism, master planning and real estate development shaped Bruce’s career as a real estate entrepreneur, it was his ongoing passion for politics and fundraising that led to his opening his own Barone Media Group in 2013, which has provided marketing and fundraising services to non-profits, political campaigns and the small business community in Southwest Florida.
With a commitment to service in the local community, Bruce has been an officer and director for the St. William Council Knights of Columbus and currently serves as chapter coordinator for Legatus of Naples.
Bruce is a member of the Naples Area Board of Realtors®, the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Greater Naples Area Planned Giving Council. He is currently the regional representative for the Naples Chapter of the Congress of New Urbanism. He has received numerous real estate awards, including Five Star Professional in Real Estate (2009-present) and Who’s Who in Real Estate (2009-2012).
Bruce and his wife Lauren welcomed their son Bruce, III in 2015. The three live in Naples with their dogs, Maximus and LaLa.
